Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO TO PUNO
We will pick up you from your Cusco hotel at 06:30 am and take you to the tourist bus station to go to Puno. On the way, you will stop at different tourist centers. At 08:10, you will take a 35-minute tour of the Andahuaylillas temple, the “Sistine Chapel of America.” Later, you will explore the archaeological complex of Raqchi before enjoying a buffet lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit La Raya and tour the lithic museum of Pukará. The day will end at 17:30, arrival time in the city of Puno, so you can rest at the hotel.
DAY 2: PUNO
You will start picking up your hotel between 6:30 to 7:00 am. The guide will come to pick you up to take you to the port of Puno, then board your boat in Puno, leaving for Taquile. Then you will visit the islands of the Uros, where participate in a cultural demonstration that allows you to discover Uro’s way of life. At 11:00 AM, you will arrive at a secondary port on the island of Taquile, from where you will climb a gentle slope towards the main city. This walk lasts approximately 1 hour, and during the tour your guide will allow you to discover many aspects of the local culture of Taquile.
At 1:00 PM, we will have lunch at a restaurant in the village, where it is recommended to try quinoa soup and fresh fried fish from the lake. After lunch, you will begin your return to the main port of Taquile. At 2:30 PM, you will board to go to Puno, and at 5:00 you will be back in Puno.
After the tour we have the option of returning to the hotel or if you like you can know the city of Puno on your own, taking into account that at 9:00 pm they will pass you to the hotel to take you to the Puno bus station to direct us to the city of Cusco arriving the following day 5:00 am to the terrestrial terminal of Cusco, where the tour ends.
